| I really do need to watch Burden Of Dreams one of these nights... I still find Fitzcarraldo so totally insane... I mean... Herzog, decided that the only way to make people believe they were really pulling a paddlewheel boat over a mountain was... to actually fucking do it! Brilliant.
I think that clip is from My Best Fiend (which is a pretty intense watch, too)... the clip from Kinski's stage performance as Jesus at the beginning of that film is ridiculous - and frightening. |

| yeah... we should have a festival one of these day...i would like to re-watch everything herzog have done..(because kinski oeuvre would be too long!hehe)
have you see one of his last movie (documentary-2005..) grizzly man.. awww what a beautifull film about a so unique soul. awww just to think about it i'm all shaked.. i cry so much each time i see it. herzog is fucking no joke! i heard that during a interview for the promotion of this movie he got shot by an air riffle.. he totally resume the interview even woounded and say something like:"i'm not afraid of anything". awwwwww Update » Holly_Golightly wrote on Fri Oct 12, 2007 @ 1:46am oh! yeah and for burden of dreams..i watched it once at work with my boss (he's a big fan) it is crazy!!! i would have be totally deepress and would have be more than tempted to throw everything if i was herzog..really.. what a man!!... also it made me think that this other doc. about the avorted terry gilliam's the man who killed don quixote, lost in la mancha had probably be more than inspired by the last one! well it was great movie but never like burden of dreams.. |
