 Coolness: 35490 | [center]You all know that we at NC love our hardcore. What you may not have known is that we also love our soccer! That's why we were thrilled to join thousands of other fans in supporting Toronto FC, the hometown soccer team. But of course, we couldn't leave it there. I mean, as much fun as watching the pros play soccer is, how much MORE fun would it be to watch your own favourite DJs getting together for a game and embarassing themselves thoroughly...
... and then having a kick-ass rave afterwards? Hey, that's a great idea! Let's do that! On September 28th, 2007, Nocturnal Commissions brings you a two-part event designed to show your support for Hardcore, Toronto, and our own soccer heroes Toronto FC! First, meet up to watch us settle the age old question of HARDCORE vs DRUM AND BASS with a soccer showdown unlike any the world has ever seen! Some of Toronto's favourite hardcore DJs will be taking on some of the city's finest DnB DJs in a full-on soccer game destined to be drunker than any you've ever seen! Come down, meet up with your fellow ravers before the party to get to know them better, maybe have a picnic, and watch us all make fools of ourselves for a good cause. :D What good cause is that, you ask? Why, the Toronto Food Bank, to which we will be making a donation of canned and dry food the following day. Please bring an item of food for donation to the game or to the party to help us do our part to give back to the city that has given us so much! Directly after the game, follow us back for a night of intense hardcore, uplifting trance, and yes, even good old DnB, all characterized by that trademark NC happy vibe! We're bringing you Toronto's first soccer-themed night (that we know of ;) ), so what else could we call it but: GOAL! Bangin' music will be provided all night long by some of the world's finest, including a kick off for the North American RUSH tour! Vapour - HHC [UK] (RUSH Productions) With releases on Ravin' Phantasy and showings at massive UK events including HTID in the Sun, not to mention his own RUSH Monthly, Vapour is poised on the brink of catapulting to the top of the Hardcore community!! We're proud to have this hardcore hooligan over to our side of the pond to showcase his bouncy, bangin' hardcore for the Canadian stop on the RUSH North American tour! Reaction - HHC (RUSH Productions) Another of the hardcore masters behind the RUSH series of monthly events in the UK, Reaction brings his characteristic hardcore stylings over for a Canadian debut as part of the RUSH North American tour!! Elixir - HHC?! (Eartobrain, Hullabaloo) One of the undisputed masters of the trance community in North America, this local legend has been lifting spirits and shaking dancefloors for years. But we had to ask - with amazing talent like that, how incredible would it be to see this man step up to play some happy hardcore? Only one way to find..... Milo - Upfront Happy Hardcore (North American Hardcore Movement, GAC Productions) One of Toronto's adopted Americans, Milo has proven himself to be one of the most talented producers to come out of North America in the last few years. With stormers like "Pull'em" and "Leave You Again" seeing play all across the planet, we're privileged to have this legend-in-the-making return to the NC stage to showcase his singular talents! Emm - Uplifting Trance (Synergy Canada) The man behind some of Ottawa's most fantastic events and, lately, one of the prime movers in keeping Montreal's rave community in top form, Emm is also known around the globe for his commanding master of the decks! He's brought his inspiring and uplifting style to our stage before, and we couldn't wait to have him back! Dynamic [USA] vs Fuzzboy - Happy Gabber (Nocturnal Commissions/Email Productions) Talk about high energy! When these two team up, all we can say is - great minds drink alike! Mizz Lee vs Lucy Ford - Drum'n'Bass (Nocturnal Commissions, Embedded Entertainment) Some of Toronto's best loved performers, NC's resident DnB duo is set to provide all the broken beats you can handle! George (Who Shoots and SCORES!) - DnB/HHC (Nocturnal Commissions, Orange) The man with more parenthetical suffixes than anyone in history couldn't decide on a genre, so he'll be bringing you some of everything tonight! Dave of the Rave - Rave Music (Nocturnal Commissions) Faster, slower, who knows? More energy - that's all that counts! Pianos don't hurt either! As always, this event will feature fresh fruit and candy to help keep your energy up, concession booths, free CDs and giveaways all night long, and of course the long running NC tradition of the Kandie Kontest - dress up in your most kandied outfit and go for the prize! Important things to remember - this is a SOCCER THEME PARTY!! We are supporting Toronto FC so wear your red and grey (or red and white) to show your support!
