Pixie Dust Promotions presents the Moon Dance Festival
be part of this the psychedelic journey into the enchanted forest with the pixies and their friends as we dance under the sun, moon and stars, and meteor showers for 3 days bringing you some hard stomping psychedelic techno, progressive, full on, and daytime Reggae. Live Sets Deviant Species Live! Deviant Species is Santos De Castro was formed in 1997 with former member Paul Wright. After 4 succesful EP releases the acclaimed first album 'Hatch' came out. One year later Deviant Species founded Ambivalent Records with the release of 'The Quest for Balojax' (2001) their 2nd album, which established the act as one of the luminaires of the genre. Deviant Species split in 2003 with Santos remaining the only member in the project. In 2004 the much anticipated 3rd album 'In The Hands of the Randomiser' came out receiving rave reviews all over the world. Other Deviant Species tracks featured in the Ambivalent Rec compilations AMBCD7 Further Ambivalent Tendencies released in 2006. New tracks will be included in the forthcoming compilation release 'Ambivalence' AMBCD8. He's currently working on an album with Ady (Scorb) under the name Squid Inc. Santos was born in the Basque Country. Initially a drummer, he took permament residence in London in the 90's where he joined industrial band Pig playing as the opening band for Nine Inch Nails in their Downward the Spiral tour. Ekoplex Live!- Aurora Boreal Rec. / Pixie Dust Montreal Bush Telegraph Live! - Aurora Boreal Rec. Toronto/ Pixie Dust [ profile.myspace.com ] Repeat Customer Live!- Toronto superheavyREGGAE" with friendlyness, jeremiah and isax. - Toronto Created in 2000, superheavyREGGAE was formed by Jeremiah, Friendlyness and I-sax with a mission to give the reggae massive the best in Modern Roots, Lovers Rock and Classic Dubs. Starting off with some scattered shows here and there throughout the city of Toronto, we originally settled in at 56 Kensington Ave in the heart of the famous Kensington Market, holding a regular session on the second Saturday of each month . Remember that venue with the huge aquariums and the days when we were allowed to smoke inside the club with no ventilation? "Mi seh.. is like I inhale a quarter poun' a i-shen.." After 56 closed down we made the move over to Thymeless, home of the First Trumpet sound system. Blessed for us, Thymeless is located at 355 College St, just around the corner from where 56 used to be, so the massive that we had started to build up didn't have to go to far to find us. Now, after about 3 years of holding it steady at Thymeless, we're going on stronger than ever. We're still holding the sessions there and they're still on the second Saturday of each month. Known as a blessed event, superheavyREGGAE draws the people because we play music FOR the people. Guests performing at superheavy have included Ini-man from Caveman sound, Demolition Man, Anthony Malvo, Chester Miller, Sassafrass, Treson and Humble. The superheavy family continues to grow and we say love to one and all! superheavyREGGAE listen [ profile.myspace.com ] Dj sets Quivering Virgin - BLA / Coldgroove - Toronto Jarek - BLA/Aurora Boreal Rec./Pixie Dust - Toronto Lauryn - Peak Records / 28th Day -New York USA Plan B - Shakti Collective - Toronto Shankar - Shakti Collective - Toronto Lexicon - Shakti Collective - Toronto Derek4Real - Toronto DJ Rickam - Tech Safari, Neurobiotic records - Montreal Yann - Tech Safari, Ultra Groove Records- Montreal OSG - Spaceport Records - Montreal Virtual Light - Geomagnetic Rec.- Ottawa Stefan - Elements, Eloko Longstocking - Montreal Aquarius - Montreal Clown - Jester Records, Alien Crew RootWise - Pixie Dust , Toronto New Deco Installation by Julien Seyer Deco by Invokvyata - Toronto String Art by Tomasz Ciesla - Toronto visuals by Ivygirl - Toronto Neuro vYrus - Spun Records, Quebec Sacred, shamanic and medicinal plants by [ TrancePlants.net ] Psychedelic Bakery by the psychedelic chef location TBA 2 months before the festival tickets presale $35 June $45 Door $50 out of Canada $40 Montreal - Psychonaut (154 Prince-Arthur) Toronto - Shanti Baba (546 Queen W.)
