Sound Card/ Mic Question???

Coolness: 83900	i have a m-audio delta 66 sound card... its got 1/4" ins and outs but no designated mic jack... which is fine for my music production set up since i got a mixer... but i'm wondering if there is anyway i can set it up so i can use it for voice chat on msn and skype and stuff. i've tried to get my onboard sound card drivers going as well, so i could just assign that card for voice chat on my headset and use my delta for everything else... (i've done this before with a soundblaster and it worked out o.k.) but for some reason it refuses to let me install my onboard drivers?

Coolness: 201250	In 1 and 2 should show up as left/right line-in in the windows mixer. I've used my external edirol card before and input 1 works as an input in skype. There might be specific issues with your card though. Worse case scenario they make USB headsets that you can use that don't need a sound card.

Coolness: 83900	cheers scotty.... that sounds like alot less hassle, considering i was about to tear my computer open and start dicking with old dusty sound blasters from the closet... they don't make one in the form of a cordless phone by anychance do they?

Coolness: 201250	I think they do, it might be a bit pricey though, I have seen corded skype handsets that are pretty cheap. The usb headset is the cheapest/easiest way to go though, they cost about 50$.

Coolness: 83900	i found this thing... its an rj11-usb phone adapter... you think this would do the trick? i got a motorola cordless in my closet... i found this too... but it looks a little chi chi... what do you think?
