Agreed. To be slightly more accurate I'd say that language turns raw data (factual or fictional) into information defined by a particular perspective which is then interpretted by others relatively based on the perspective from which it was initially described. Note...that very sentence (as well as this one) could be written differently and the point being made would still be the same. Your interpretation thereof however could, and more than likely would be slightly different eventhough most people might consider the difference to be negligent.

Here's my opinion: We're all partially conditioned through other people's perspectives and rarely (if ever) educated through the exchange of raw data. No matter which news report you're watching, text you're reading, or teacher you're listening to there's always a personal social bias attached. If you listen to music that has no lyrics attached or study abstract artwork the interpretation made is strictly yours to fabricate and isn't predisposed socially by another individual's perspective. One can argue that artist is usually trying to display something specific in their music or artwork which partially predisposes the interpretation of the artwork by the listener (or viewer). The initial subconscious reaction however never changes which is really what determines your interpretation as the receiver of the information being displayed.

If several people tell the same story differently the interpretations of what actually happened will be different each time even if the events being told are still the same... The choice of words being used to describe anything, the tone of the speaker, the body language used (if any), and even the tempo are all things that affect the interpreter's understanding (or lack thereof). What we consider history is actually a compilation of stories, factual and fictional data which have been recorded (or omited) biasly and agreed upon by the masses. Truthfully the only events that anyone can honestly and undoubtably vouch for are the events which unfold in the present and are witnessed or better yet experienced first hand by the interpreter. Even then...or now rather, the interpreter's senses could still deceive them. Their perspective however is genuinely theirs to claim ownership to and cannot be attributed to, or accounted for by the interpretations, biases, or predispositions given by others.

Some believe that personal experience is best teacher but I don't think anyone could honestly know that for sure if that very opinion is even partilly based on the teachings or conditioning from others...
