Did you know? - They keep the bull 24 hours, sometimes more, in complete darkness and silence so that when the bull is send to fight it gets blind by the light and scared by the crowd. Most bulls will try to jump the walls making it seem that the bull is aggressive but in reality he is just very scared. - They cut the horns of the bull to protect the bullfighter or butcher. - They put big sand bags around the animals neck, they constantly hit the animals testicles and the kidney to make him weak and disorientated. - They put grease in the animals eyes and and a burning cream on his ankles so the animal can’t stay still and it gives a bigger show to the crowd. - The horses they us to stab the bull are usually old horses that have no commercial value; they die 3 or 4 days after the bullfight. They cover the horses with some material that helps the horse not get cut or stabbed by the bull, but the bull will always break the horses ribs and cause real heavy inner damage. The cover is mostly so that the crowd won’t see the horses’ wounds. - What the guy on the horse do is tear the bulls neck to make the bull bleed so it makes the bull weaker and doesn’t let him raise his head. At this point the bull is very weak and the Bullfighter can do his dance and stand up to the bull and show the crowd he is not afraid. Not afraid of an agonizing bull that by this time only wants to die in peace. - But it’s not over! - After the stab of the guy on the horse the bullfighter stabs the bull with “banderillas”; long decorated metal bars to keep tearing the bulls nerves and make him even more weak so that the bullfighter can keep dancing and doing his stunts and the crowd gets exited. “Wow, look at the bullfighter kneeling in front of the agonizing, bleeding bull, he must be very brave.” - And at the end comes in the sword! The bullfighter stabs the bull with a big sword in an act of courage. The sword does not go into the heart killing the animal instantly. The sword shreds almost all inner organs except the heart making the bull inner bleed to death. - If the bull is lucky he will die by drowning on his own blood. - Bulls have a lot of willpower and sometimes they walk towards the door they came in looking for escape, this is not common and anyway as soon as it gets out of the ring it gets stabbed again in the neck and left to die. - If the bull falls down in the ring it’s pulled out while still alive. The bull will loose feeling and motion from the neck down but from the neck up it will still be very much alive and aware of all the horror that is happening to him. :( |

as for hunters....i say if you want to kill an animal because it makes you feel big and powerful and shit, do it with your bare hands....then you'll see who's really on top of the food chain...start with an elk,bear,shark,komodo dragon or a big fucking cat (think tiger)...then get back to me... i won't hold my breathe though |

 Coolness: 238620 | To start off with i never did understand the attraction with bull fights. There has always been a long history of mistreatment in this sport. I would hope that at some point there will be a more human way of dealing with things.

Sorry but I have to say I think your an idiot. Well at least about this subject which I feel extremely strongly about... "bullfights are a cultural tradition, been going on for LOOOONG time, ban them, ban the running of the bulls and the tomato fights and all cultural traditions while your at it, fine bullfights may be a tourist attraction but it still means something to the people" yes...because tradition makes tourturing animals an ok thing...gotcha HEY while we are at it lets make it legal to eat humans again, because hey it was the tradition for canibals! WOW such great ideas...lets let EVERYONE have their OWN tradition and respect that who cares about tourture and death...its tradition after all!!!! |
