There's an authentic Mexican restaurant on the north side of St Cat between St Marc and St Mathieu.

My favourite is near D'Iberville Metro and it's called "Le Coin Du Mexique" or "El Rincon Mexicano"...it's got both the French and Spanish writing....You just need to walk like literally a few doors East to the metro....so yeah I guess it's farther than where people usually got what the fuck do I know about Mexican restaurants anyways hahaha.

Carlos and Pepe's is *ahem* "authentic" while Le Coin du Mexique is authentic.....u get me?

I only ate at Carlos and Pepe's once and I was there with my dad.....I was like "Hey this is pretty good" and my dad was like "Yeah ok you just don't remember the food of where you were born cause you were too young when we came here....I feel like I'm eating Mc Donald's frozen standardised Mexican meal. I'm never coming here again. The place looks great though."

hahahaha

While on the other hand, we have been going back to Le Coin du Mexique.....just 2-weeks ago was the last time we went.....man just talking about it makes me wanna eat their Milanesa again.

Casa de Mateo is decent too but I think it's pricy though I can't recall clearly......I remember they have the best Mariachi band in town though "El Mariachi Figeroa"....anyways I only went there once for my brother's birthday or something.

Villa de Tequila (Or maybe Casa de Tequila) in verdun is the shit... they do this stone bowl thing filled with stuff that`s amazing... I`m not an authority, but I`m pretty sure you`d be able to call it authentice without the quotation marks.
