there is a petition going around for the grren party to be allowed in the official debates on TV. they have good points and they can't express them and this considerably takes seriousness and credibility from them, and it is time that their voices are heard as loud as others.

we all know the earth is sick and people still keep their eyes closed, debating on money and reputations... WAKE UP PEOPLE! :P

anyways... here is the link if you wanna sign it.

they got 7% of the votes at the last election, which would gave them few seats in a proportional election.

majority of people that actually wanted to vote for green didnt because they thought that no one else would be voting for such a party (practically no seats, yes)... almost everyone i spoke to wanted to vote green..but ended up voting liberal or ndp. theyre all a crock of crap, they all have hidden agendas... but conservatives and bloc are teh worst.

the green party doesn't have much of a platform other than weed and environment.. that's why most people don't vote for them.. they'd probably murder the economy.

what is the association between the green party and weed? i thought that was parti marijuana??

i don't think researching for alternative solutions to our problems is murdering the economy. i you want to construct solar pannels or wind power or electric cars you are actually creating jobs in sectors that need encouragement anyways. the current government just won't bother though because they are too busy... self-promoting??

This is Green Party economic platform

Green Party MPs will work to:

1. Reduce taxes for Canadians earning less than $45,000 per year.

2. Establish an all-party task force to study corporate tax rates between Canada and the United States, taking into account the differences in and provision of various social programs.

3. Close all loopholes that permit the establishment of offshore tax havens by Canadian companies.

4. Establish a new Parliamentary Budget Office to provide independent public estimates of government revenues and expenditures. Simplify reporting in order to identify how government initiates new policies, the creation of budgets and the design of programs through to the actual results achieved.

doesn't seem very strong to me. :(

Hmm... I don't know much about politics, all I know are "rumours"...

If Conservative win, Canada might become like the Bush-controlled-US. Which I find is bleh.
Liberal, Bloc, I don't know. Bloc will probably ask for a referendum again. Liberal.. Bah can't trust them really. ;)

NDP seem more left-wing oriented, with social stuffs and all. Green party... Environment-based... Tk ça serait temps qu'on fasse de quoi pour l'environnement. :)

Conservatives: Lower taxes, Tougher laws
Liberals: Same old same old
NDP: More social programs
Bloc: Nothing. (they *cannot* win, just so you know, this is a federal election, the bloc has no power to run canada)

Nah, voting for the party of your choice gives that party $200 (per vote) for the next election campaign they have..

there's no such thing as a "wasted" vote. every vote helps.
