Best mini-series program about physic theories. The Elegant Universe teaches you about the possibilites on the working of our Universe. Stuff about; gravity, quatum mechanics, 11 dimensions (not 4), superstring theories, parallel universes, relativity, etc.... The show is very easy to understand, and has some kick-ass visuals. It is 3 hours long, neatly divided into 8 minutes segment for easy viewing. So if you have 10 minutes here or there, I highly recommend it, your brain will be tripping. Can the Big Bang be the result of the collision of two parallel universes? Is the Universe made up of tiny little vibrating strings? like wtf? those crazy physicists. |

| Coolness: 102870 | ya it's the same guy, Brian Greene (U of Colombia). He wrote the book first then he work with NOVA to produced the 3 hour documentary.
With the documentary visuals and graphics it is so easy to understand and they're trippy too. This other book, Hyperspace: A Scientific Odyssey through the 10th Dimension by Michio Kaku (professor of theoretical physics at the CUNY Graduate Center and CCNY) is also very good. |
