i am pretty stupid.

i was cleaning off my desktop and i accidentally deleted Notepad and Calculater from my computer. i thought i was just deleting the shortcuts but they're completely gone now.

does anyone know how to restore them?

%SystemRoot%\system32\notepad.exe

I don't get the question. Did you actually empty out the recycle bin after? If it's still on your comp then you'll be able to to find it with the windows search or restore it by going into your recycle bin... and if not download it, cause it guano.

normally notepad and calc are installed to two different default directories, main drive:/program files/accesories/notepad or windows/system32/notepad

You can't delete those "key" windows things, they'll just automatically re-appear if you do manage to get rid of them... It's kist the shortcuts that got deleted..
