Life?

 Coolness: 149020 | Have you ever gone somewhere, sat down and thought to yourself: "Wow! I don't even remember how I got here. It's just become such a habit that I don't even remember going through the process of leaving my house, taking the bus, and arriving here." Well it's happened to me a shitload of times. And it made me think. Is this what life is really about? Should we be doing things without really thinking? Just as a habit? I think we should be aware of our actions, as useless as they may be.
I wonder; how many things have I done without really realizing it? Have I spent all this time doing things just because they were programmed into me? Or did I do those things out of a conscious decision that I wanted to perform such and such a task. The more I think about it the more I realize that too many things are done wastefully. Who really thinks, but REALLY thinks before acting? If we are the only creatures on this blue earth of ours that have this ability, why do so few of us use it? Maybe it's just me, but it was weird when I got that feeling. |
