As requested:

I am going to bug you, Noah, until you can allow Video's to be posted on to our profiles.

Basically, for the sole purpose of allowing VJ's or people with Party Footage to post their Video files onto their Profiles.

I agree that video should be allowed in vj profile, but not on user profile, it would probably cost Noah too much hosting. Unless users have to pay for it.

Hmmm...

I guess that could be fair.
I couldn't imagine a 5-min video Demo being any larger than a Full Audio set... Seems like music producers can have that without any fees.

I guess i should have reworded my question: Can VJ's post up Demos on their VJ proifles.

That`s what I was saying, vjs should be able to post videos. When I was talking about paying, I was talking about posting videos on regular user profiles.

As for video's we have already concluded that a 40 meg video does not really show how well a vj can do his stuff... Also itwould be poor cause i mean a vj can go over many types of music, should he have a 3 min sample of each or how does that work...

Most I figgure would have a preference to what they like doing visuals over, and they probably already have their own demos done to music that they like..

Most vj's don't do video over just one type of music... That's very unprofessional...

Everyone has a preference, though, and it stands to reason that if they're going to upload a demo video, they're gonna upload one with music that they like, or at least a track or 2 that they really like... I spin hiphop, hardcore, DnB, hard acid and scratch... Just because I have a DnB mix up doesn't mean I can't do anything else, it's just what I prefer to showcase what I can do.

Well, the way I see it is alot like Noah put it...
A Demo for every style that I can (or am Willing to perform to); I mean I like HHC, so i would do one for that. Perhaps some DnB or Electro too... It's not a question of what I can do, because i'm confident I can do visuals to anything. But at the same time, i wont put a demo for EVERY style, just to say I CAN. Hell, what would the surprise/challenge be in that? However, it would be more valuable on a promotional level if one could do a Demo for different styles just to show that it is possible...

The real question is, how many video files (or how many bytes) can a vj put on his profile without taking to much space?

If not, a VJ can ask a Dj to do an eclectic mix of various styles, where the VJ could just show his shiznat through out the mix... what, 1.5-2min per style. HHC,Electro,DnB,Hard House? How many bytes would you figure?
