Yeah even though I don't have spyware problems on my own computer (the family one seems to get one every so often, hi heather!), spyware is making even me consider getting an apple system. Man if only microsoft dumped their stupid obsession with backwards compatability and built a new system from the ground up, we wouldn't be having these problems...

Anyone who says microsoft anti-spyware sucks is a fucking idiot. everyone should have it. it finds all of your spyware and deletes it safely, it even deletes all the stuff that the spyware installs into system 32 and any other hidden places. It's a bad idea to try and delete that stuff urself, manually, because it leaves traces all over. Microsoft is evil, but they know their system better then anyone else and how it should be cleaned up. it also updates itself automatically and you can set it auto-scan daily. they use it at my work instead of using some expensive anti-spyware program that would probably not be as good.

I know someone who pissed on their welcome sign at their corporate headquarters in california. I salute this, as they have pissed on the greater mass of internet users.

the microsoft antispyware is apparently going to be free ( beforehand, there was gonna be a charge for it once it exited beta-mode ).

Personally, i don't get spyware, only my roomie jason gets spyware fr4om random craps on the internet. This is why i'm restricting his account on my computer to guest priviledges.

I use IE only once and a while to check a site that doesn't render right in mozilla and I always find malware cookies in it.
