yeah i suppose it can be looked at as propaganda... i just don't like to see people knockin soldiers who are lucky to have made it home alive, regardless of why they were there in the 1st place,.....and yes yes i know they SHOULDNT have been there in the 1st place but the fact is they were.....

Typical capitalistic-mongolian propaganda, no surprise there, though I think some of the soldiers should have been either facially disfigured or at least missing a couple of limbs... they were coming back from a war zone after all, not the icescapades....

Ufot-the gulf war syndrome...

yeah that's what's sickening....plus I dont think there is any pun intended against the real soldiers in this thread....it's againsy the war and this propaganda....It's made to been seen as what they did was right but these loads of the real soldiers either dont want to be there or weren't left with much of a choice.....sickening indeed.

You got it right. Exactly. Its so sad and easy to touch and control the people with this kind of bullshit, a sad little music with beautiful yougn black, white, asian boy & girl soldiers.

it's a commercial to teach americans to clap and be happy that the troops are coming home.. as well to teach them to forget the reason they were sent out to iraq, which was to find weapons of mass destruction and kill bin ladden.. both of which didn't happen.

i enjoyed however reading the comments of the people beneath the video. Its nice to see that there are fellow anti-bush anti-war in iraq supporters out their.
Those soldiers are brave and honourable (well most), but its the Bush regime that dishonours them by deploying them in Iraq and tainting their hands with innocent blood.

As much as I don't want todiss these soldiers, we have to remember one thing : unlike the World Wars and possibly the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Operation Freedom (gawd) were all fought by soldiers who ENROLLED in the army, not forced to do so.

I cannot begin to think of how horrific it must be to be 17, stripped away from your family, shoved a gun in your hands and pushed off a plane with an " 50-50% chance of opening " parachute straight into war-torn Nazi Germany cause you figured, either that or be shot by soldiers of your own country cause you're a traitor if you don't follow them.

I've seen countless footage of american soldiers eager to get there and " kill some fucking Iraqi scum " only to witness firsthand the horrors of a war you signed up for. I mean, shit, what were they expecting ? Bulletproof Hummers with an all-you-can-eat McDonalds next to the camp ?

On the flipside, just like every other war, these soldiers are going to be back, will be treated as heroes for months and a couple of years from now, will start to show signs of post-traumatic stress disorder, will require medical treatment which they will probably never receive and basically be shoved aside and forgotten by their government...like today's WWII and Vietnam vets.

" Ok so this country's pissing me off so you guys go there and fight my fight and kick their asses then come back here for free alcohol, fries and burgers and when I get tired of you, just shove off and go drink in a legion somewhere like the crazy fucked up bastards you really are ".

A waste of perfectly sane men and women for a perfectly insane war.

IF ONLY that war was necessary. IF.
