Your comment is absolutely preposterous. Hockey is big money in Montreal, were not in Ottawa. You actually think its up to the LEAGUE to do something. I think the popular consensus is that its up to the players to do something. BAck in the days of Guy Lafleur the league/owners would take advantage of the players,but nowadays its the other way around, ask any veteran. The players are eating up 78% of the league's revenues (and that includes all merchandise sales and concessions...), needless to say that that is a ridiculous share (football and basketball is around 60-65%). |
