Sowwy kids but I've yet to hear a winning argument for dubstep. The wobble ? You gots plenty of that in D&B, Fidget House, Speed Garage, you name it. It's been around for years. Nothing original there. The beats ? Erm, breaks anyone ?

Hm. Wobble. You say it like it's in every "dubstep" track. It's not a specific sound. Sure, there's an easy way to go about it, which is why there's a lot of repetitive stuff out there, but it's more of a technique compared to a sound. A tool to let the creator be creative, we just hear it being over exploited in certain specific ways.

Dubstep is like metal, or techno, or even country for that matter. A word way too general to represent the amount of variety there actually is relating to the genre. If a piece is classified under dubstep, listeners who aren't enthused about the general genre are automatically gonna be bias against it. Same for me if you give me a piece that's listed under Happy Hardcore.

Fuck genres, people should start listening rather than assuming styles go in only one direction.
