Avec en vedette un lineup d'enfer de quelques uns des meilleurs djs breakbeat a Montreal / Featuring a stellar lineup of some of Montreal's most badass breakbeat selectors: DJ BLISS (Resident) A sure bet in the montreal dj scene, Bliss has been spinning beats since the age of 14 and is now widely recognized as one of Montreal's most musically versatile djs. For the past 12 years Bliss has consistently rocked the Montreal club circuit, recently mentionned in Nightlife magazine's top 100 of Montrealers that have changed Montreal's nightlife, as well as a top position in the Hours 2006 list of best local djs. He is among other things the co-founder of Montreals first and longest running breaks weekly THE GRILL. as well as being one of the original residents of both the now legendary CHEMISTRY and VOYEUR clubnights. Over the last 10 years he has played hundreds of venues across the city, from small club nights to afterhours events, alongside an important number of international artists such as Solvent, Dj Krush, Afrika Bambaataa, MSTRKRFT, Tommie Sunshine, Girl Talk, Gun N Bombs, Freddy Fresh, Kool Herc, Atomic Hooligan, Aquasky, Thievery Corporation, Kid Koala, Krafty Kuts, Bebel Gilberto, Bonobo and The Streets, as well as dj sets at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Picnik Electronik, Neon's Voyeur, Pop Montreal, La Nuit Electronik and the MEG Festival. During his 20 years as a Dj, Bliss has also traveled and played all over the world, notably the U.S., Africa, Israel, France and the UK. DJ DIALECT (Resident) Straight out of the northern lands of Deux-Montagnes... Initially influenced by hip hop acts such as KRS One, Native Tongues, Gangstarr, Jeru the Damaja., He began to pursue a Hip Hop scratch dj status in 97. With the newer generation of "Shit-Hop" emerging from numerous Hip Hop labels, he became frustrated, fed up, and discontinued purchasing Hip Hop vinyls altogether. Still producing Hip Hop instrumentals, and working with local MC's, Dave Dialect was still unsatisfied with the current "scene" until his first visit to the afterhours. An easy convert to the Break Beat sound, Dialect blends the precision skills of turntablism with an ear for the underground electronic music community. Dialect can be heard spinnin' "Erectro, Real Skool Breaks, Dirty Disco, Drug-Step, Bassline Whore-House, Fist Funk" and more. DJ SPACEKADET (Planet Break) Grand créateur des soirées Planète Break, Patrick Harpin aka Spacekadet s’est rapidement fait connaitre pour l’énergie qu’il déployait dans l’organisation de ses soirées . En 2004, il fonde le collectif Frogland Breakers qui donnera naissance moin d’un an plus tard à ce qui devait devenir une référence en matière de soirée Breakbeat à Montréal. C’est au milieu des années 90 qu’il commenca à s’intéresser à la musique électronique et au mouvement Rave. Cette belle époque a directement influencée le style musicale qu’on lui connait aujourd’hui qui comprend un mélange de Breakbeat, House et Électro. Son talent lui a permis de jouer,entre autre, deux fois au légendaire festival Ontarien WEMF et plus récemment au très populaire événement Montréalais PIKNIC ÉLECTRONIK.
