Substance Abuse Research
Posted Friday, July 2, 2004
Researchers in the McGill Dept. of Psychiatry are conducting a brain imaging study about amphetamine. We are looking for volunteers age 18 –25. We are interested in studying people who have or have not used amphetamine or cocaine, and who have either several or no relatives suffering from drug abuse problems. The study involves three brain imaging scans, an interview, and the administration of amphetamine. Participants will be compensated for their time. You must have valid medicare (or other canadian) health card to participate. The principal investigator is Dr. Leyton.

| if this is like the cocaine study, it involves injecting your bloodstream with a radiocative solution so they can run you through the scan. i think they pay ~$200. i was ~this~ close to doing the cocaine study, but wimped out. instead i did it on my own! :P |
