My roommate had to do a series for Stokesa few years back, he had to closecut wool placemats with fringes... lots of fringes, helped him out a bit, worse closecutting job ever. When it comes to hair it really depends. Then again, the orange woman is blocked at work, maybe I'll see what your talking about from home.

Naw, I'm still working on it, but close-cutting is totally basic photoshop.

I've been working with photoshop since version 1.0, they're on version 13 now.
I'm not a pro, but I can tell a fake photo when I see one, and this one does not look fake to me, I don't see any of the standard signs.

That's quite the potent argument seeing as CS3 is the tenth rendition of Photoshop, but I'll bite...
What are these "standard signs" you speak of?

Yeah, that;s true, I always think of CS as being version 8 and CS2 as 9, since there wasn't huge feature improvements from CS2 to 3 other than interface changes, I didn't see it as a real version change.
My mistake. | |

the 3d capability was there in CS2.. an improved clone stamp is nice, but not a huge new feature.
When Photoshop and ImageStyler merged back in version 5, THAT was a big change. Photoshop 7 was also a big version in terms of features. But CS2 to CS3 was not a big change.

i dunno.. if you ask me cs2 to cs3 had much more change than cs1 to cs2
agreed there is no new crutial stuff... (apart maybe from smart filters)... but so many little things that make life just so much nicer... i forget how i lived before refine edges

Yeah, just the new menu system is a bit easier to manage with CS3.
But I agree you can't go leaps and bounds for CS4 at this point. There is only so much new stuff you can cram into a new release. Photoshop is pretty damn complete as of recently. I can't see what else they could put in unless they go full 3D rendering which I hope they NEVER attempt for the Photoshop series.
