DON'T BLAME DRUG WAR
I'd like to correct Diana Glenn's thoughtful letter, "Mexicans flee
drug war" (Forum, May 11). Mexicans are not simply fleeing drug
violence in their country. They are fleeing violence caused by U.S.
drug prohibition.
How much crime do the United States and Mexico have related to the
drugs caffeine, Tylenol or aspirin? None. None whatsoever.
Why? They are legal.
