I was relieved to read in Wednesday's NOW that my MLA, Mike
Farnworth, was expected to throw his hat in the ring for NDP party leadership.

I was also surprised that a "marijuana activist" has the cheek to try
as well. Is not marijuana an illegal substance? It certainly has no
place in politics as it is the "thin edge of the wedge" in the
corruption and destruction of healthy people.

After the brief Glen Clark government, we almost completely destroyed
the provincial NDP.

Farnworth, I believe, spent some time after that broadening his
experience by spending time in eastern Europe. As a result, he is
better prepared to take on the role of NDP leader, and possibly of
British Columbia leader.
