DATE RAPE DRUG BUST CANADA'S BIGGEST EVER

The RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency say they have made the
largest seizure of ketamine, the date rape drug, in Canadian history.

Representatives from both agencies plan to hold a joint news
conference today in Vancouver to unveil the seizure and discuss "a
major drug interception/investigation."

Health Canada says ketamine is a rapid-acting anesthetic drug also
known as a dissociative anesthetic because it can make a person feel
a sense of detachment, as if their mind is separated from their body.

"Commercial ketamine is a liquid," Health Canada's web-site says.
"The street drug is usually sold as a powder. For abuse purposes, the
powder may be dissolved in a liquid ..."
