SKEWING THE DRUG SURVEY
If you want to see the true feelings about the four-pillar approach to
drugs, tell people the infrastructure of the program will be set up in
Kerrisdale and watch the numbers swing in the opposite direction (Vancouver
residents soften views on drugs, Jan. 31). Of course, they support it -- it
doesn't affect them.
Those it does affect, like business and citizens' groups, are labelled
intolerant and simply not listened to. Why? Because the rest of the city
was polled and supported keeping the drug problem exactly where it is.
