Couldn't have said it better myself. I'll be 30 in 2 months, my priorities have shifted, my career, side-projects and time spent with the GF take up a lot more of my time than anything else. I still feel the need to let loose and party my ass off, just not as often as before.

Dave: If you're not looking into anything specific and have experience in shipping or manufacturing, I would suggest you keep an eye out for big companies that hire. I was able to land a job @ a major pharmaceutical 11 years ago and the starting wage was 19.50/hour. Pharmaceuticals, food processing and public services is where the big bucks are at, they don't have a choice to pay very well and they usually hire in big batches.

The only problem with that is that you get comfortable with the salary and most will tend to stagnate even if it wasn't their initial intention to stay long term (I stayed 8 years when it was supposed to be temporary before going back to school... I did, 8 years later :S)

And they will use any means necessary to avoid it, I am not sure if they set any parameters in terms of amplification or if it's amplification period. If it's the later, they have every right to stop such recurring events.
