ravedave.... br34th3 is right on that one... but not everybody has 100$ per week to spend on new CDs. it's better to avoid mp3s if you can, but if you're starting and not too sure what you wanna do or just (like me ) really broke all the time, etc... Don't waste all your money in the beginning. CDs are a good choice, the gear is cheaper and CDs are cheaper + last longer + easier to learn with. You can always adjust to vinyls/buy TTs when you decide what style you wanna play or even if it still interests you and want to pursue that (believe me it's a disappointing business, there's NO money to be made and people fuck you over a lot).
I'm a very poor person so I just bought myself a used dual rack (american audio) at Centre Musical Ahuntsic... paid 300$ for it... works fine! there's a bit of a delay on the play but it's not big enough that you can easily bring your track back onbeat.

if you're rich, well... lucky you buy tts and vinyls!

Now for a more detailed review...

I didn't really feel like I was one of the organizers, more like a regular attending person... props to the (we don't know who you are guys, we're still wondering) hawaian shirt guys. Music was just very very flavored and uplifting. Really digged what every body did. Thanks Scott for the tag, it's really nice of you to blend with the newbies like that... nice positive experience life-wise and music-wise. I was pretty impressed with the set-up. Sound was just really amazing, too bad the deco kept falling off... that volcano was funny... lol.

Well anyway, hope to see the same kind of crowd at future events.

It's good to finally hear feedback about my demo, i'm glad everybody's so psyched about it. I think it's pretty good, but it's really mixed conservatively... i mean, no fla fla no nothing... it was a one-shot recording, so... I'll get another one ready for the end of the summer, not only full-on. It's going to be more tidy-ed up.

I'll set it up nicely for ya Vinny... I have a plan.
