they are not the only "legal" venues around. A legal venue is any building that is going to give you the capacity, fire safety and noise protection that you need for your party. I had have the police show up at every event I have been involved with, and these parties were not shut down - because the venues were safe and legal. Many promoters do not take the time to book a venue until the last minute, and this leads to sub par venues being chosen and hearts getting broken. Sometimes people are just lazy and don't put in the effort to find a good venue.

But don't say that clubs are the only option, because a party at a club does not equal a rave.
