Before the corporate ran, profit generating machine music festivals started spawning in the United States, the American music industry was united by grassroot passionate musicians and performers who wanted to share the magic of their music in a unique show experience. In 2002, the collaboration of enthusiasts in a small state called Iowa, gave birth to an event called 515 Alive, at the heart of the state's capital, Des Moines. Despite it's obstacles with being one of America's less populated areas, 515 Alive exploded and grew with the spirit of the unity amongst citywide, statewide, and regional support.

515 Alive began as a block party, and has taken many directions, especially taking strong identity being a symbol of Iowa's electronic music scene. The festival has also been a canvas for urban arts and urban music, breaking barriers between musical styles. But the most important and dominant type of artist that has been the lifeblood of 515 Alive, are specifically the DJ's who have made magic building, creating, and performing on those epic stages that gradually improved, year after year.

Prolix will be a familiar name to most hardened Drum and Bass heads, with a back catalogue that has seen releases on some of the most prolific and respected labels in the industry such as Playaz Recordings, Metalheadz, Commercial Suicide, Ganja Tek, Project 51, Virus and most recently, RAM Records. His unique style of production has achieved international recognition filling Prolix with the courage he needed to establish his own imprint in 2011, the mighty Trendkill Records.

As his reputation grew at an unprecedented level, Prolix soon found himself collaborating with an array of artists from across the genre such as American super producer Gridlok, Klute and Noisia, as well as remixing the likes of Ed Rush and Optical and Chase and Status. It was with his work for the latter however, that led to an introduction to pioneers DJ Hype and Pascal began the conception of sister label, Ganja Tek for the sole purpose of releasing his distinct and personal sound. Since then, Prolix' production has gone from strength to strength, securing radio support from BBC 1Xtra’s Bailey, Friction and Mary Ann Hobbs.

One of his most seminal releases to date was the immensely popular True Born Playa/ Got to Roll, a collaboration with Gridlok and the legendary MC Fats which soared to the top of the download charts and into every self respecting DJ’s record bags the world over. Teaming up with Gridlok has come up trumps yet again, this time drawing the attention of RAM Records head honcho Andy C, with their debut 12" of 'Membrane' and 'Babylon' devastating soundsystems worldwide.

So with a history of stellar collaborations, it comes as no surprise that 2012 saw MC Coppa work with the talented producer on the 'On Like That' EP. Featuring tracks such as 'Feed the Habit' which saw heavy support from Friction on BBC 1XTRA, 'Interlace' and the 110 bpm electro punk 'Shut the Place Down' Prolix continued to show why he is regarded as one of the top producers in drum and bass.
His label Trendkill Records has also gathered a strong following after releases with artists such as Gridlok, DLR, Silent Witness and Klute. This really is one to watch for the future.

Having toured America, Canada, and Australia, Prolix is well known for his high energy, floor-filling DJ sets. As well as doing his own headline shows across Europe, he has also shared the stage with some of the top names in drum and bass including Sub Focus, Chase and Status, and Spor.

The Annunaki first arrived on Earth probably 450,000 years ago, seeking an exotic beat to facilitate their trance states. Coming to North Carolina in the mid 2000s, The Fuzz abandoned the urban lifestyle following the Siren beats emanating from Asheville, NC. Finding the TOUCH Samadhi collection, The Fuzz quickly set up shop in nearby Greensboro to cultivate further sounds and rhythms to augment the growing vibrations.
The Fuzz was introduced to Goa trance later than most, discovering the classics in the early 2000s. Seeking out the beats of more current sounds, he came up to speed on the progression in to psytrance and beyond. DJ 3D, hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, started buying underground dance records in 1983 and spinning them publicly in '84. He was dedicated to the break-dance era where Afrika Bambaataa reigned and electro funk was a way of life. As the music progressed through time, 3D remained heavily involved in his club work until he noticed a new form of breakbeat music spawning from techno tracks of the early nineties. He decided to follow this new path along a music which developed into today's jungle drum and bass culture as we know it.

The early 90's jungle era gave him opportunity to host and guest appear on radio and internet mix shows accross the states. In his hometown he co-hosted with Snuggles, JJ Jellybean, and Slak on the Strictly Jungle show (WNUR 89.3fm) plus guest dj appearances on B96's Street Mix (96.3fm) and Dubshack's Drum and Bass Radio (92.7fm) show's. All this while recording numerous stateside drum and bass anthems for labels such as Ghetto Safari, Stepwise, Advance, N2O,
Kultbox and his own Dub Society, Uptempo Dance Music and Forte Recordings. He has worked as the technician behind Snuggles, Slak, Q System, Emminant Force, Flow, Desperado, Mindcontroller, hence the nick-name "The Technician".

With the storm of media coverage on Chicago's drum and bass scene in the late 90's, plus the national drum and bass club explosion, the success of his Forte Recordings label was at hand. Co-owned by partner Snuggles, their first major CD compilation release "Terminal Beats" landed in chain stores worldwide. Added exposure lead 3D to a signing with Bad Boy Bill's Mix Connection Multimedia / Canvas Records for his first full length solo album. Plus a major digital distribution deal with [ Emusic.com ] and a theme track on MTV's Blame Game show.

Into the new millenium, 3D currently releases solo projects on his Uptempo Dance Music Label and the west coast's N20 label. At clubs and raves across the states, you can find him spinning the newest quality drum and bass, plus at any moments notice you'll hear 3D jungle riffs as background music on your local radio and tv stations.

MEGA MIKE - Chicago - Combat Digital, MIA, TFU, Konkrete Jungle

Chicago based dj, drummer, producer, and advocate of all bass driven & booty shakin' music. Mega Mike has been filling dance floors and punishing bass bins with his unique style for ten plus years, and is easily one of Chi-Town's most versatile, skilled and exciting DJs. Fast forward 2002. Mega Mike relocates to Chicago and begins catching the attention of members of the DJ community, and by 2005 joins the True Family Unit collective. In 2006 he becomes an official jungle assasin and member of M.I.A. (DnB). He then co-founded Chicago's chapter of the globally recognized Konkrete Jungle, who were one of the original promoters to introduce a dubstep and drum&bass club night in Chicago (2007-2010). In addition to playing premier events, like North Coast Music Fest 2012, Wavefront Music Fest #1, and an official Lollapalooza afterparty, he's made exclusive appearances on Chicago radio programs including the highly regarded "848" on WBEZ 91.5 FM, as well as "Joystyxx Radio" (Loyola’s WLUW 88.7 FM), and "Part Time Sucker Radio" (Northwestern's WNUR 89.3 FM).

Forthcoming projects for 2013 include releases on Combat Digital recordings, remixes/edits, new club residencies in Chicago, and various shows nationwide!

Mixing only peaktime sets C.K. always comes correct with the worlds finest house muzik. As Superman frees us from villians Clark Kentt keeps Chicago house muzik locked and steady on his back. As he continues to take house music to boundries others have not, this Chi-town hero might be the next house music icon. With just nine years behind the decks Mr. Kentt has earned himself a residency in the Chicago Rave Scene along with a list of regular appearances at some of Chicago's premiere nightclubs; including, Spy-Bar, Sound Bar, Stone Lotus, Energy Thursdays (bi monthly resident), Mission, and NV. With the idea of bridging the gap between all of Chicago's electronic scenes Clark managed to get booked for North Coast '10 and play alongside his friend DJ Xposur. With that set These two Dj's set the stage for regular schedule of bookings between the suburbia club scene and Underground Parties. And eventually an alliance between Blue Star Ent. and World of Source. This alliance proved to be a success and the gap between these two worlds was narrowed greatly.
This not so Mild Mannered dj has an arsenal of techniques to amaze your eyes (scatching, beat junggling, multiple genres, and live remixing), while your ears get the true sound straight from the Underground of the birthplace itself, the sound of HOUSE. These skills matched with a stage presence of a king and an energy only comparable to pure adrenaline give Clark the necessary tools to become not only an amazing DJ but a true artist behind the decks. Original Music, Remixes, live collaberations with a league of djs and producers, and finally throwing his own events are what lie just around the corner he says. Bad Corey is a fanatic of the harder sounds, and has a strong love for performing live hardcore mash-ups. He loves presenting happy hardcore favorites in new and exciting ways, and is dedicated to bringing the most energetic, uplifting, and pulse-pounding tunes from all over the globe. While relatively early in his DJ career at only 3 years, he's a regular in the Midwest's anime convention rave scene, having played at nearly 30 different conventions throughout the country, including Anime Central, Ohayocon, Youmacon, ColossalCon, and many others. Imagine the planet Trypton. The home world of many superheroes, surrounded by alien forces, who invade from an orbiting space station!

It has beautiful glowing wetlands strewn with Tryptonite and dripping in fluorescent goo. Rumor has it, there’s an ancient ship still emitting alien frequencies, crashed deep in the woods.

This year’s excursion will feature three main environments, each with unique lighting, deco, and amenities; each one, a main stage worthy of it’s own event.

Additionally, you may find yourself camped in bat country.

We provide four days and three nights of camping, two outdoor stages, a pond, an air conditioned indoor stage, onsite food, clothing, and art vending, with a nice selection of transformational workshops provided by community experts.

The Mr. Bill project is based on evocation, I like to write music that excites the ear and the brain. This requires me to explore a vast range of strange production methods and musical theories to keep exciting my senses. The best way to describe the music associated with this project is a mix of unlatched, glitchy breakbeats, heavy, swung-out bass lines and flawless edits with a large dash of palatable melodic content.
