Je cherchais des images pour mon oral sur le rave commercial vs underground et je suis tombée sur un site de wallpaper. L'image que je browsais affichait à côté un autre wallpaper random et étrangement, les deux personnes sur les images font la même pause. Je trouvais ça ironique.

There's an old free program I used that I really liked. I haven't tried it yet on Vista but I know it works well on 98 and XP. It's called Easy Gif Animator and you can get it on 01net.

I'm a noob who just started raving in december. But I plan this year to assist parties with Screwhead on the list, to assure I won't pay ~20 bucks for nothing and to limit the number of parties I go. I go to these parties for listening to the music, like a metal show, and I try to remember the artists I liked. I don't like dancing, so I headbang. It would be realistic to say that I go to an average one rave per two months. But like I said I'm new so this could change. I wouldn't be able to go to a party every weekends/nights, I need calm moments.

Ahahahah, I was wondering why there was a Bal en Blanc thread...
I was in the metro with my boyfriend and there were girls going to the Bal en Blanc. They seemed more like going to a fetish event than a rave, really.

We plan to start fast with the DJ story in the 50s, then electronic story in short and the arrival of the most important genres (with a little explanation for each to differ them, I'll do a little sumthin with Adobe Premiere and music samples).
Then we'll come back to DJ, talk about well known ones, popular events, turtablism and how the rave scene and DJ moved here, etc. We'll then talk about some Qc/Ca DJs like Tiga and the scene here, etc. Then we talk about the commercial events, the places where most parties are and why. Then the small parties and how they're scheduled.
We'll critic the DJs playing only for fame and cash versus DJs who play because it's their passion and they're good at it. We'll give exemples of DJs in both sides (I might interview you, Fred! :P). We'll also have to give an argument against our own point of view.
I think that's it... Oh and we'll add something for making the students to praticipate a little to our presentation.

I've been to a few raves, but there are things you can't learn during a rave (Wiki, articles and the stuff you guys given to me ftw). Of course the first thing we will recommend to the class to truly understand how it's like is to attend a few parties ;)
