We at CG Mastering offer the best quality digital mastering for your money.

We perform mastering work and mixdown work for labels, individual artists, bands and the like. We offer top-notch masters for your release regardless of any format (CD & Digital)

Gear:

A music production specific PC running Cubase 6 with 4 gigs of ram

A EMU-1820m with the breakout box (8 ins 8 outs) providing sound

A TC Electronics Powercore rackmount with 8 cores DSP running 20 or so plugins that I rely solely on (I do not use ANY native plugs) for monitors, I have a pair of JBL 2328P's with double shielded, high current monster speaker cables.

Final mixes will be run through an analog mixer last to give the tracks warmth before bouncing your final product out for you.

Send us a file in .wav format at 24 bit depth, and we will master it to today's standards and practices, unless of course you insert notes with your files to make specific tweaks, which we are very happy to do for you.

When complete we send over a mastered wav, and a high quality converted 320 mp3.

What a great year we had in 2011!!

It has been a pleasure touring our artists around to the fine promoters we have relationships with.

We would be nothing without all of you…the promoters and the fans who come out to support this music

You are all a pleasure to work with and entertain…straight class.

As you may have noticed our family has grown close to 200%, and so we can keep up with all the additions we added a number of staff members.

Our staff should be increasing more as time goes on and as our roster continues to grow. If you know anyone who wants to join our family we are hiring.

Getting right back into it...our tours for 2012 as of now are below...our entire roster is opened for bookings but some are limited to certain areas because of the lack of a US work visa. This will be shown as a "Canada Only" stamp. Talent with "Canada Only" does not mean they are not available for US bookings, it just means at the current time they are not allowed to work in the US, so please inquire about them and we will get a visa sorted for them if the demand is there.

xKore

xKore (Matt Cavender) is an 18 year old dubstep/drumstep producer based in Kent, in the South-East of the UK.

He first started out around 4 years ago producing house and progressive trance. However his style eventually evolved into what it is today, a blend of dubstep, drumstep, electro, drum and bass aswell as other styles of bass music.

House and trance acts such as Signalrunners, Spencer & Hill and Klaas were some of his early influences, and what got him into electronic dance music. Through experimentation and influence from popular bands such as Pendulum and Noisia, xKore developed a more bass orientated style.

Stylistically, xKore likes to have influences that are outside of EDM, such as Yoko Kanno and Harry Gregson-Williams. He views film and game soundtracks as a great source of inspiration.

His setup is mostly software based. He uses FL Studio 10 as a DAW and NI Massive, NI Kontakt and 3xOsc as his main tools of production.

xKore is being seen as an up and coming talent within the dubstep community, being supported by artists such as Skream, Benga, Borgore, Dodge and Fuski, Tomba and many others.

His music is available on all good online mp3 stores, being released via the labels Cognition and GAWA Recordings.

Falinox

Chicago’s own and new comer on Lifted Music, this man is making major moves with his unique sound and approach to drum and bass.

His forthcoming release out on Lifted Music “Drift Out”, and “World’s Collide” has been getting major world wide attention and support. Stay Tuned!

That every cause has an effect is common knowledge. For Optiv, Stuart and Mark, the cause is drum & bass, and their effect is both indelible and undeniable. Known collectively as Cause 4 Concern, the crew came together back at the start of 1999, when Optiv was affiliated with Aspect Records, and Stuart and Mark were working for Vinyl Distribution.

A testament to their talent, it took only a few short months of collaborative creation before they scored their first signing – and not just to any old label – but the massive and seminal Moving Shadow. At the time they were known as nCode, but by July they had become Cause 4 Concern and started their own imprint label. The first 12” dropped that December, and secured the support of DJs Doc Scott, Fierce and Grooverider, amongst many others. Releases on respected labels Tru Playaz, Renegade Hardware, Moving Shadow and Timeless Recordings were to follow, and left little doubt that this was one crew to keep an eye on. Promoters right across the planet couldn’t help but pay attention, and consequently there aren’t many places C4C haven’t performed.

Such was the success of Cause4Concern Recordings that 2001 saw the launch of sister label C4C Limited. Intended as an outlet for experimental tracks and remixes of previous C4C releases by other established artists, the imprint has so far seen input from producers Stakka & Skynet, Teebee, Matrix, Fierce and Rymetyme. By the end of the year, C4C had been nominated in the ‘Best Newcomers’ category of the Knowledge Magazine Drum & Bass Awards. Impressing their peers as well as the press, demand for their product increased, resulting in releases on renowned labels BC Presents, Metro, Quarantine and Virus. This well deserved exposure expedited their inevitable ascent through the ranks of the Drum & Bass scene.

Aside from being an integral part of Cause4Concern, Optiv had also built up a large selection of solo releases and in 2003 started his own imprint label ‘Redlight Records’ . The label was very well received from the start and has included collaborations and remixes from the likes of Black Sun Empire, Concord Dawn, The Upbeats, Bulletproof, Mayhem, Psidream, Chris Su, Dose & Axiom. Redlight continues to grow strong as a label and the next offering on the label is a collaboration with MC Rymetyme called ‘Run It Red’.

Recently reformed after a few years of inactivity, 2009 sees Cause 4 Concern return to wreak havoc with their first full length album. Spread over five separate 12”s to be followed by a double CD, Pandemic picks up right where the lads left off – the leading edge of electronic music. All of the elements that made them one of the most exciting and entertaining production posses in drum ‘n’ bass remain intact, and are both refined and reinforced.

With releases on leading labels such as Ganja Tek, Renegade Hardware, Virus and Bad Taste, Prolix continues to push the sonic boundaries with his unique style across the drum & bass scene.

2010 is shaping up to be the biggest year yet for this highly-respected producer & DJ. A hectic release schedule lists tunes such as 'The Scourge' EP which included the massive Twisted Angel VIP (Ganja Tek), 'Throwdown' (Bad Taste Vol. 3), 'Brain Damage' (Unique) and a huge remix of Ed Rush and Optical's classic 'Get ill' on Virus. 'Eruption' and 'Chainsaw (with Temper D) have gained massive support with 'Eruption' chosen by DJ Friction for his Ministry of Sound Mix CD. Pendulum also included it for their 1Xtra Essential Mix, along with Prolixí remix of Gridlok and Dom's 'London's burning'.

And there's more to come. Lined up for this year, are Prolix's own productions, 'Visualize' is set to come out on Hype's 'Dub Plate Killaz' album and a 12", 'No Pressure' & 'Mean Streets', to be released on BCUK's Bad Taste.

Hotly anticipated are two exciting collaborations with Gridlok and Mc Fats and a 12" with Nocturnal, earmarked for the mighty Metalheadz.

Forthcoming remixes include Aeph's 'Burning shadow' (Close to Death Records), Cause 4 Concern's 'Paranormal' (C4C LTD) and Blokhe4ds 'Cretin'.

Well-renowned for his production skills and floor-filling DJ sets, it is clear to see that Prolix is doing his best work ever and continuing to collaborate with some of the top artists in drum & bass.

Background

Part of the pioneering online music community, Electronic Scene, Prolix became friends with Noisia and travelled to Holland in 2004 to write tunes which came out on Mayhem's Shadow Law Recordings and Stakkaís label, Cargo. Prolix began to hone his studio skills and a collaboration with Nocturnal, 'Crater', was quickly snapped up by Renegade Hardware. Hearing this track, Chase & Status asked Prolix to remix 'Barbarian' for their 'Ten Tonne' EP; an event which would lead to an introduction to DJ Hype and Pascal.

Quickly touted as one of ATM magazine's 'Leaders of the New School', the Playaz camp recognised the unique talent in the twisted beats and mangled basslines emanating from Prolix's studio and they wasted no time in signing him exclusively, creating a new sub-label called 'Ganja Tek' for this purpose. Dark and heavy, the first release 'Exile' b/w 'Chokehold' was played out by Bailey and BBC Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs; subsequent releases have been bashing the living daylights out of hordes of ravers across the globe in the sets of some of the scene's most respected DJs.

NC-17 is a Drum & Bass duo of talented artists based in Toronto, Canada consisting of Peter & Shawn. Their namesake refers to the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) rating system which undertakes that an NC-17 rating film would be one based around violence, sex, aberrational behaviour, drug abuse or any other element that most parents would consider too intense for viewing by their children. The group’s love of movies is reflected not only in their name, but equally in their music, combining both NC-17 rating style hardness and a cinematic edge that any fan of Drum & Bass will understand. Crafting music that works not only in an artistic capacity, but also as a catalyst to making clubbers shake their collective booties!

Originally starting out with Peter in 2004, NC-17 became a two man operation in 2007 when Korosiv joined the ranks to form one of the most promising acts in the Canadian scene. Initially learning their craft from Impulse of Corrupt Souls fame, the boys began to draw on a huge range of musical and audio-visual influences to create their own unique sound.

Working together as a unit, NC-17 is held together by an obviously close friendship and individual roles within the group. Peter is the eldest of the group and comes from a musical family (his mother was a singer in Turkey during her early 20s). He houses the main NC-17 studio and is an experienced DJ, promoter, producer and University educated film maker. Shawn, a professional drummer and the son of a sound engineer who toured with the likes of Pink Floyd is originally from Ohio. As soon as the two got into the studio together they knew they had something special to offer and Canada’s most promising Drum & Bass production outfit was born.

Citing inspiration from as far and wide as the Goblin, Dario Argento, Wu-Tang Clan, Led Zeppelin, Beastie Boys, Lucio Fulci, Fabio Frizzi, Konflict, Ed Rush, Trace, Jeff Mills, DJ Randall and Pink Floyd it’s clear to see that NC-17 have a solid foundation to build on and already their own musical output is featuring not only in their regular DJ slots around their home city, but also in the sets of DJs as world renowned as Andy C, Ed Rush, Optical, Randall, Pendulum, Trace, Bad Company, Red One, Shimon & many more.

Signing their first two hard hitting tracks to Sinuous Recordings in 2004, there’s now no stopping this duo who have lined up releases on Viper Recordings, Hardware, Proximity, DSCI4, MAC II, Circle, Sudden Def, and many more to come.

he is one of the few producers who have had releases on almost all top drum 'n bass labels including moving shadow, hospital, dsci4, commercial suicide, formation, frequency, urban takeover and his own sighco recordings

KJ SAWKA - GIVE THIS CYBORG SOME STICKS

Imagine you're at a loft party. Hour after hour, throbbing jungle beats batter you from all sides, and rapid drum palpitations assail you with suffocating fervor. You look up and, with nary a deejay or drum machine in sight, realize that all that noise pours forth from one man – a solitary drummer named KJ Sawka, pounding away almost as quickly and powerfully as human nature allows.

Using only a half-acoustic, half-electronic drum set and a laptop pre-programmed with keyboard and bass lines, drum n' bass guru KJ Sawka produces dynamically enthralling electronica with an all-but-unmatched aggression. Sawka's debut LP, *Synchronized Decompression (released last year on local imprint Wax Orchard) catalogues this explosive energy, but the album's 13 tracks can hardly contain it. As Sawka himself explains, his immutable force derives from a committed exploit of live drums.

"Even when a person has a live keyboard there, live drums just really take it to that next level of intensity," Sawka says of his inimitable style.

Adding to the organic vigor of the acoustic drums, Sawka flaunts the lightning speed and breakneck chops that have shaken the local electronica community to its core. Garnering praise from, and even playing sets with, Seattle musicians as diverse as Reggie Watts and Bill Frisell, Sawka's rapidly expanding fan base swells with every next performance.

"For one thing, [people] like to see the live performance, and it's definitely something unique," he says of his burgeoning success. "This drum n' bass is really different from any of the drum n' bass that you go out and hear in the clubs. It seems like they definitely accept that difference, and they like the originality of it."

Fans also appreciate the stamina demanded by Sawka's sets, which can last anywhere from a two-hour club show to a six-hour loft party to a 12-hour festival performance. Songs bleed into one another, pooling into one extremely long dance groove.

"That's what really trips people out," says Sawka of his festival performances. "I mean, my head just starts going to a crazy place, and it's pretty intense when that happens. It's like running a marathon, kind of, but a musical marathon."

One of the fastest up-and-coming live P.A.s in the entire U.S. - DEAD P.A. is changing the rules of dancefloor events. After cutting their teeth in the fourth largest U.S. city of Houston, Texas with an unusual dynamic interaction of live percussion, guitar, keyboards, vocals and programmable audio, the act quickly obtained a monthly residence at a swanky downtown club and has set fire everywhere since with their unique brand of "Drum N Breaks." While DJs are known for bringing music to the party, DEAD P.A. is bringing back the party to music. An emphasis on performance (rather than standing behind gear and pumping a fist once in a while) has generated comparison to a concert atmosphere or hip hop stage show and has consistently won over even the "cliquiest" of music-lovers. Their adrenalin fueled exchange with audiences has kept them in demand in California, Texas, Utah, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nevada, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida...just to name a few.

Prolific is one of the youngest and most talented Musicians out of NW Florida. Whether it's rocking B-boy Jams, Tablist Parties, Microphones or an all out DNB assault, Prolific is moving the crowd with profound turntable routines, intricate lyrics and original tracks with a unique assortment of flavor.

Prolific's real name is Carmel Ceravolo, he began his musical craft as a child picking up a fretless bass at the age of 10. His passion to make music started with playing with a couple of thrash metal and punk bands through his teen years. After learning to play the bass guitar he eventually moved to rhyming, learning the tablist technique, and music engineering with pro tools.

He started to freesytle with fellow friends and opponents at house parties and on the streets. Eventually he started winning battles and sharpening his lyrical skill. A buzz was created on the gulf coast and surrounding areas only to find that the microphone was not the plateau of his talents.
Dj'ing was his next step. He started cutting even before learning how to mix taught mostly in his early years by Mike brown AKA Infinite Void. Eventually he started to master mixing and juggling routines without using headphones on his trek to satisfy any listener with a different and unique sound. After entering countless battles at the rookie level he began to develop his own style of tablism and created original, difficult routines.

His passion drove him to learn more difficult routines on his own with the help of fellow tablist such as Immortal, Shotgun, Klever, SPS and various other talents in the southeast. His level of skill over time matured into a much more powerful force which led to many wins at local, regional, and national battles in the USA. Coming off of his 3rd win defending his title yet again at CLUB LAVELA "the biggest night club in the USA" Prolific has shown his tablist skills are polished and ready for anyone in his way.

His newest project is the Nonstopkrooks. After years of keeping his mouth shut he has decided to unsheathe the mic and regain his respect as an Urban Action Figure. The Nonstopkrooks future album features the likes of Goretex and Sabac formerly of nonphixion, C-rayz Walz, Copywrite, Butta Verses of de la soul, Critical Madness, and Big Lo to name a few.

Prolific is also the CEO of FOULPLAYRECORDS which releases DNB vinyl, Battle Breaks, High Energy mix Cd's and everything in between. After years of competing at high level battles and rocking huge crowds all over the USA, Europe, and the Middle East, his sets are not to be missed! Prolific is officially endorsed by Rane, Urban Dwellar clothing, ILLstar Rebel, Durte Vintage Laundry, [ BBOYWORLD.com ] Hiphopelements, and Madclout. He has worked for scratch academy, BET and various other major corporations which prove his talents and dedication to staying on top of his DJ skills, business demeanor, and lots of hard work for the love of music and everything that is real.

After touring with GEIN (Butcher) for two weeks in Europe and the Middle East he is set to continue smashing dance floors and crowds on a worldwide basis. It's not every day you see someone murder the decks with insane tablist skill only to pick up the mic and rock a live hip hop set.

Now his mission has become a reality, making FOULPLAYRECORDS a known name in the DNB/TABLIST/HIPHOP community. With a stacked roster of elite forces, FOULPLAY more and more everyday is getting recognition for its accomplishments. KJ SAWKA - GIVE THIS CYBORG SOME STICKS

Imagine you’re at a loft party. Hour after hour, throbbing jungle beats batter you from all sides, and rapid drum palpitations assail you with suffocating fervor. You look up and, with nary a deejay or drum machine in sight, realize that all that noise pours forth from one man – a solitary
drummer named KJ Sawka, pounding away almost as quickly and powerfully as human nature allows.

Using only a half-acoustic, half-electronic drum set and a laptop pre-programmed with keyboard and bass lines, drum n’ bass guru KJ Sawka produces dynamically enthralling electronica with an all-but-unmatched aggression. Sawka’s debut LP, *Synchronized Decompression (released last year on local imprint Wax Orchard) catalogues this explosive energy, but the album’s 13 tracks can hardly contain it. As Sawka himself explains, his immutable force derives from a committed exploit of live drums.

“Even when a person has a live keyboard there, live drums just really take it to that next level of intensity,” Sawka says of his inimitable style. Adding to the organic vigor of the acoustic drums, Sawka flaunts the lightning speed and breakneck chops that have shaken the local electronica community to its core. Garnering praise from, and even playing sets with, Seattle musicians as diverse as Reggie Watts and Bill Frisell, Sawka’s rapidly expanding fan base swells with every next performance.

“For one thing, [people] like to see the live performance, and it’s definitely something unique,” he says of his burgeoning success. “This drum n’ bass is really different from any of the drum n’ bass that you go out and hear in the clubs. It seems like they definitely accept that difference, and they like the originality of it.”

Fans also appreciate the stamina demanded by Sawka’s sets, which can last anywhere from a two-hour club show to a six-hour loft party to a 12-hour festival performance. Songs bleed into one another, pooling into one extremely long dance groove.

“That’s what really trips people out,” says Sawka of his festival performances. “I mean, my head just starts going to a crazy place, and it’s pretty intense when that happens. It’s like running a marathon, kind of, but a musical marathon.”
