Leon, Aka DJ LEON brings the bass, the beats and the emotion into each of his sets. He started spinning by playing on friend's tables and getting beat-match instructions from his childhood friend DJ POINT. A year later, he bought tables and a mixer. Now a few years later here he is. He says that he is still a rookie and there is a long way to go, but he will make sure he is having fun while getting there.
His musical influences range from Hip Hop to Classical scores, which is why he likes to play breaks mixed with a strong bass-line beat. “I love deep, bassy track that moves you and you can dance in it. When I see high-hells in my dance-floor that's time throw a break in it afterward" He says.
In the few years he has been spinning, He made several recordings including: "REALITY," "PEAKING," "BANG ATTACK!," "DRAGONFLY" and "+DB" (coming up). He currently enjoys a weekly residency at after-hours venues and also helping event marketing/design projects. He's held past residencies at Vision, Envy, Resurrection, and has been the guest DJ afterhoursdjs.org.org DJ Live Radio.
He played all around Houston at the after-hours clubs, and successfully sharpens his name the past year as a rising star of after-hours jockey.
In March 2005 he was featured by HoustonPress.com as one of the top deejay of Houston in an article by Travis.
