| Informations: | * Dj Paulette (G-B, Ministry Of Sound, London) " DJ Paulette was made in Manchester. The youngest of 8, Paulette was a musical magpie who started her record collection, aged 7, by cherry picking (ok, stealing from!) the coveted collections of each member of her family and proudly cites everything from David Bowie to D-Train and Diana Ross, from Herbie Hancock to Human League, from Earth Wind and Fire to Ella Fitzgerald and much more besides as the discs and influences that eventually made her start paying for her own (now larger than all her family’s collections put together) record collection. At the tender age of 12 she caught the vinyl bug after buying her first records (on import of course) at a specialist shop called ‘Spin Inn’, in Manchester and this was the start of a wonderful and very real romance that continues today. DJ ACHIEVEMENTS: -First female resident – Le REDLIGHT, PARIS (APRIL 05 - present) -First female resident – MINISTRY OF SOUND INTERNATIONAL TOURS (2000 – PRESENT) -DJ Magazine - Top 150 DJs: November 2001 -1st female DJ with a sell-out tour in India (Ministry of Sound 2001) -One of the first UK DJs to mix a dance music compilation (Gold disc for sales of over 150,000 copies of the Club Mix 96 CD) -RADIO FG – HYPE UNDERGROUND – MONDAYS weekly(april 05) -Ministry of Sound radio – WEEKLY show (2000 – 2004). Guest spots – Radio 1 and Kiss 100FM -‘OUT AND PROUD’ – WEEKLY MAGAZINE SHOW BBC RADIO 1 1994 -TV Presenter - MTV, Channel 4, Granada, Sky One and Carlton. Judging Panellist - Bristish Academy of Composers and Songwriters Dance Awards 2002 and 2003. " |
