when i worked at sears i stole over a 1000$ in merchandise...i called it my x-mas bonus. i had it down to a finely crafted art. Security knew i was stealing things but they couldn't catch me. So they laid me off saying there wasn’t enough work. Oh well :P

LOL, I used to bring that coffee into my work...

Everyone in my office at the time used to love the fact that I would walk in with different flavoured coffees on an almost daily basis. Scored so many brownie points with that coffee. I was so disappointed when you stoped working at Second Cup that I could barely go back the the Maxwell House mountain roast the owners bought on their own. These days I'm hooked on the Vanilla-noisette coffee from the Al van houtte near my office.

those are all pretty good. I especially like gordo's "borrowing" av equipment.

But i'm gonna tell you the best stealing from work story ever!

In the spring of 2001 i was working at a telemarketing/inbound call center. Naturally because this place employed alot of people who spent their days talking on the phone they needed to have an abundent supply of readly available water. They had one of those water cooler things (the ones with the big blue bottleson top) Everyday they would go through one maybe two of those big bottles. The big blastic bottles are worth ten bucks each if you bring them back to the store. I noticed in our break room where the water cooler was kept, there were large windows that could be opened. These windows opened on to a back alley on the corner of peel and st catherines. I decided one day that I wanted to go drink a forty but i didn't have any money so took one of the empty bottles and threw it out the window into the back alley. When work endeded i went and collected the bottle and took it to be returned. This having worked out so well for me (ie the free money for alchool) i decided that i would do this again the next day and so i did. I tried not to be greedy but the lure of free beer was just to hard to resist. The scam got so develloped that i used to toss the bottle out the window and then call a friend who would go and pick it up, return it and buy beer for him and me. This went on for several weeks. At some point there stoped being empty bottles for me to chuck out the window. Ofcourse i didn't let this get in my way, when there weren't any empties i decided i would take the ones that were full of water that were still sitting by the cooler and throw them out the window, thinking "hey I'll just empty them out when they land in the alley" (real brains on my part) So i threw two of the heavy full bottles out the (third floor) window. They hit the pavement like rocks and the bottles exploded under the force. This was a complete failure so i didn't try that again. A couple of weeks went by without any empty bottles for me to steal. Then all of a sudden out of no where there are two empties on the floor, i wasted no time and threw them out the window. That day after work i went to the alley to get the bottles and there under the window was my two suppervisors, they had set me up, a sting operation if you will. They marched me up to the office and sumarilly canned my ass. The people who owned the company were india/pakastani or something and when i begged them to not let me go they said in their Indian accent "DO YOU THINK WE ARE GOING TO LET A ROBBER BACK INTO HERE?"..."I MEAN COMMON"

funniest shit ever!!

I knew a moron who used to gloat about stealing those water containers from a call center that was also near peel (Ameri-source if i remember correctly) except this guy wasnt throwing them out a window. he was walking right out the front lobby and eventually got caught on video camera like the idiot he was. Honestly it's pathetic... to risk ones job over somethning of so little value... I can only assume that you understood the potential consequences and that you weren't overly dependant on keeping that job.

Even so, If you're gonna steal from your office, you might as well steal something that's worth getting fired over (should the worst case scenario occur).
