no I'm just really disapointed because of the level of humour that's all.....other mexican jokes can be funny but a peso....who gives a shit about a freggin' peso.....hahaha ....let's make fun of Filipino pesos, since they're the pesos that are worth the least (or maybe the Argentinian is...?) hahaha and all laugh about the value of currency.....yeah they'll be offended alright....

im from Argentina. i just came back from there. my whole entire familiy lives there, in the north of argentina, where poverty is hit worst. i know u guys are all fun and games...but let me state, that the currency being sooo bad, means that there is no actual money being circulated in the country. this causes inflation to rise. if there is no money being circulated, there are no jobs being produced, therefore unemployement is around 68% unemployed in some areas. some places even higher, the people who have a job rarely get paid...because there is no money circulating period to pay ppl. so ppl consume less, buy less groceries, buy less clothes, etc.....a downspiral effect, the economy get worst every second.

and ppl work and work...not to lose there job, without practically getting paid.

my friends, my family suffer because of this....its sad ...and to actually go there to see them all struggling and see my country get worst every year, for anothers countrys profit. fuckn sucks!

i went to see a presentation some folks did for a bicycling trip they did from vancouver to cancun to protest the WTO. their main concern was agicultures and so they were pretty much on the farmers side of things and so it touched alot of what marijane is talking about

this korean farmer who's been fighting this for four years stabbed himself in the heart in front of the fence at kilometer zero

but aside from this tragedy it was a pretty peacefull protest cause the military were pretty much a bunch of young aldults from the various rural areas who never got proper military training... lack of violence was the reason why it wasn't covered by the media. they had all the woman create a chain link and 'unweaved' the frence hehehe. then they offered flowers to the soldiers. beautifull

basically the message was buy local and try to eat vegetable that are in season. not stuff that has to travel 2000miles to get to your plate.

just something to think about. i'm not [ mr.org ] myself

oh yeah all the bikers were vegan.. none of them looked ill

and yeah sorry for recycling other peoples old jokes carlos, i forgot that everyone here was original

sam u are very right.

But the agricultural production, import & export...goes a little beyond that. The reason why farmers all over the world, mainly in third world countrys, disagreed with the WTO, was that theyre type of resolution, put bluntly a side-effect of globalization, would benifit the first world countrys.

they wanted to implement a free-trade between all countries, regarding the export and import of all products resulting from farming(agriculture). thus enable countries to no longer pay taxes. yet because most countries, which are thirld world countries, have bad currency. it will always be a lose lose situation. it would actually cause a violation of the human rights, considering that they are under payed all ready. nonetheless this would force most third world countrys to stay poor, and rich countries to become richer.

in the end, ppl protested, ppl fought for what i could say human rights...and the WTO didnt get their way, this time.
