PS2

Its got a bigger market share than Gamecube and Xbox together. More support = more games

Xbox might look a lil better, but its going to go under soon enough. It hasn't dented the PS2

Yeah, I'd say go with a PS2 also. Xbox is nice, but it doesn't have the support of the PS2. Also, PS2 plays almost all PSO games (A few have some glitches aparently, can't remember which though)
PS2 has more "better" games, and they aren't all PC ports. The only thing I'd say to get an Xbox for is Halo, and you can get that for PC anyways, which I find is a lot better. 3D shooters were NOT meant for game controllers, they were meant for keyboard and mouse.

And if your a deranged maniac like me, you can check out Manhunt. I think this game alone would be my selling point... But I'm just sick.

I would have to go with the PS2 also.. just for the Final Fantasy series its worth it.. not to mention the amazing controler design..

The games are much better, and its not made by microsoft. ;)

X-cube is cool, but the games on nintendo never seem to change.. They evolve, but never change.. and for that, they loose my sale..

ps2 for life baby..

I like the fact that X-box has a built in HD... Back int he day I always wanted to customize the game i was playing and have it play my own music instead of the cheezy presets. I also like the fact that you can network 2 X-boxes for 8-player LAN shoot-em up games.
