Love Vs. Hate

 Coolness: 150695 | Well, from the looks of it... Everyones caught up in some trance about Love, or they just seem to Hate everything.
This reminded me of a movie my friend is doing for her film class. The movie is preety much a survey or documentary with regards to what people believe resides more in their hearts and the world they reside in; LOVE? or HATE? The end result was very interesting and quite touching mind you. I would just like to see if your posts can produce the same result. The random people interviewed each had to awnser a couple questions, which I would like anyone here to answer as well. -Do you think there is more Love or Hate in this world? Why? -How do you feel about the media with regards to what they portray of the world (more love? or more hate?) Why? Im not sure if there were anymore questions than that... either way, SPEAK Yo' MIND! |

1. Therr is more hate in this world cuz hate fuels itself. Things r not easily forgotten or forgiven. Love might be more powerful but it is harder to achieve. 2. Media portrays more hate news (murder, scandals, frauds, wars etc...) cuz it reminds us of our own mortality and morely it's how we measure our happiness with the amount of misery in da world. |

 Coolness: 62080 | I disagree with everyone. Its ying and yang. Everything balances. One feuls the other. We wouldn't feel one without the other, and they are both equally important. Unfortunately. Sucks that u have to go through the bad to feel the good but without feeling so low we could never feel so high.

but Love does exist to the rest of us, it just isnt always easy. I agree that love can be blind, and hate is ignorance. I also agree with you nadine that you need a balance of one and the other in order for them to coexist, but I think they surpass each other every so often. Hate probably more often, seeing as how it is so easy to hate instead of learning to understand & accept (hence, the '-isms' and such). To each their own view, I suppose... :) |

| Coolness: 685825 | Love complicates things too much. Sex only hurts if you contract a dissease or if your on the recieving end, and that usually only lasts for a little while.
Love is great when you have it, but when it's gone, there's nothing left, and sometimes nothing hurts more than something. |

The movie unfortunatly is just a final exam - or project, should I say, that is incomplete. Maybe when it's fully edited, i'll be able to find a way to post it up to show everyone. Well, even though I was expecting more feed back (and more elaborate reasons behind their oppinion)... The end result is more or less the same. It is true, love and hate are just a balance, with no hate or no love, the balance is tipped. Ying and tha' Yang. Atleast a couple saw this, and at the same time I liked how some felt that Love was stronger than Hate, while some felt the opposite. In the end, even though I only got six reply's, no matter who has an oppinion on the matter, wether there's 20 peoples thoughts on the subject, it all ends up equal. Considering the story of Left-hand Right-Hand, one being Love, the other being Hate. If one eliminates the other, no matter who wins the battle, your gonna end up with a handicap. Don't confuse Love with Lust. Don't use Hate for your inabillity to express your misunderstandings. |

but hate is shown more in the media because people like to see things that they normally wouldnt see... i mean, a mother loving their child is expected and mostly normal... but a man shooting the fuck out of all his classmates isnt something youre gonna see everyday! and love is too bland and normal (by tv standards) so its is not on television love is all we need |

" 1-first and formost i believe there is no love, like there is no hate, in this world as such. the world is composed by matter, simply energy. Evolution has taken its course, and so here we are the human species. we have created relativity, with our own ability to define. an obsession with defining, and here we are. our beliefs and values are based on emotions, our surrounding, our society, our culture. since our first civilization the human kind as evolved tremendously. and now u can somewhat understand...that relativity does not exist. good & bad. light & darkness. hate & love. 2-the media portrays more hate. simply because this is what our capitalistic society is structured by. hate, produces fear, produces violence...produces a society easy to manipulate, comsumption. love becomes a fairytail, and hate becomes a reality. |

| Coolness: 54600 | let me also add that love is very marketable as well. beauty standards can be very well associated with love...in order to be beautiful one must consumme, thats a given fact. in conclusion the media portrays both love and hate(i personaly believe more hate)...in different ways. dont forget all types of population are targeted by advertisement in this north american society. |
