Remembering Jfk

 Coolness: 46380 | I know none of you were probably alive during his life, but today marks the 40th anniversary of his death.
Kennedy was very special to my family and still is to me today. While my father served in the Marines he was responsible for protecting his sleeping quarters whenever Kennedy was on his ship. I grew up hearing wonderful stories about how nice a man he was and how good he was at what he did. I can't help but wonder how much better the world might be today if Kennedy had lived to serve his two terms. He was, without question, one of the best diplomats in the history of the world. Infact, the world as we know it today might not exist if it wasn't for Kennedy's handling of the cold war. Anyways. Thats all I have to say. |

If it wasn't for Kennedy's cool head under pressure there probably would not be a United States right now. The cuban missle crisis was as close as we will ever see to nuclear war. And it was damn close. |

 Coolness: 81815 | I sympathize with the Kennedys because I believe JFK was assassinated by the US Gov't (mainly) to cover up the whole moon-landing conspiracy... however surely that wasnt the sole reason.
