 Coolness: 95 | The concept of AmalgaNation can be defined as an exploration of various artistic dimensions, all interacting and complementing each other. We will introduce new and original musical and visual experiences, based on digital technology. It is an experience with both cinematic and live performance characteristics, designed to give the audience an interactive role with the artists.
Musical Division Various combinations of audio equipment allowing for collective musical experiences. We propose 3 different interaction combinations. The musical evolution will be in accordance with Parabolic Guerilla 1. Amalgam Aeon live PA (Boshkebeats rec, Nuclear Ramjet, 1e performance live en solo) 01ek live PA (Morphee) -- Special LIVE experience: Aeon + 01ek 2. Bizarre triangle Preach (Delphinus, Default rec., Ascend rec., Edit rec.) Tao-Nhan (Morphee, Sweet Leaf) Miko (Edit rec, Terminal rec.) -- simultaneously playing with an innovative combination of turntables, mixers and effects. 3. Overlap Philgood (Sona, Center rec.) + Kidstatic (Standard rec.) + dj Sarcastik (Level 4 prod.) -- in another creative experience involving overlapping dj sets. Artistic Division Creation of a collective space and immersive experience which consists of different artistic media all united in a experiment of total art, including an active participation of the spectator. The venue will offer 4 attractions: the main stage plus 3 multimedia installations. 1. SYMBOLIC RESISTANCE, Parabolique Guérilla (main stage) 01ek (Alexander Wilson) et NICK (Yannick Ross), !ARTERA! -- Synchronization video/music in three chapters including one live performance, in synchronized evolution with the musical performances. The whole experience is contextualized in the décor, large screens surrounding the room. We create a time stopping reality through audio and video repetition which opens a new space, a passage zone between two realities, between two times. …Fixation of the present, resistant to passing time, in a place which materializes a symbolic resistance. 2. IN-SITU MANU (Manuel Bisson) -- Experimental exploration of the place through digital sounds and images, sampled as the event continues and diffused simultaneously in an open and progressive installation. 3. GREEN ARIA Enna Esil (Lise-Anne Simard) -- Area created specifically for relaxation. Warm and friendly atmosphere to promote warm and friendly interactions. 4. PHOTONIC Plexus Solange et Guillaume Cliche -- Photonic installation accompanied by a thematic video animation.  Coolness: 2604060 | I'll be there for sure. Therry, I personally this party will be more original and interesting with different music than most of the parties out there. Why goto parties with the same dj's over and over again, that's one of the problems with the montreal scene is we have different groups of people and they always want the EXACT same things every weekend. How many people do you know who goto electro, hip hop, jungle, hardcore parties... None... We choose one style and that's the only thing we goto! Try something different! |

 Coolness: 238695 | I have to agree with Noah about going to something different. Like all types of art forms...one needed to at times shake things up and do something different. I am looking forward to this rave for the new experince of different arts comming into play as one form. This is sort of the area that my best friend is going into once he gets out of Trebas.
