"Wake Ups" caffeine pills upped the content in the past few months from 50mg to 100mg of caffeine per pill. A large cup of dark roast has 175mg of caffeine. Wake-ups aren't as bad for you seing as it avoids the harmful brewing process. HOWEVER, it is like drinking an entire large cup of dark roast in one teeny tiny swallow and it's undiluted so it will be absorbed by your body which isn't as good. So basically anyone taking 5 wake Ups at a time may want to reconsider and take less cause you won't need as many. Taking the recomended dose, 1-2 every 4 hours and 8 max a day (occasional use only) will help to avoid those nasty heart palpitations which cause stress on the heart and can kill you in the long run. wakeups have been 100mg since about as long as i can remember btw. and the asian grocery on the top floor of La Cite sells Jolt. you know the one, right across from the escalator. |
