If they bring this to Montreal, who would be interested in participating? It's like the Spartan Race with zombies you have; Runners: people who run the obstacle course while avoiding the zombies Zombies: people who try to stop the runners (ofc you will have undead make-up and stuff) Spectators: people who are just there to have a good time. [ runforyourlives.com ] I've contacted them and asked what the organizers look for in a potential site for ground zero. We will need to generate interests in this. Please share among your fellow Montrealers and spread the infection. |

I don't think it's going to happen (there are no dates for 2013 yet). I'm not sure if people are willing to travel just to be zombies. Runners for sure, lots of athletic people in Québec. Usually, these obstacles events would take place in a ski resort or a camping park max 2 hours away from main city (Montréal). I.E. Spartan Race is usually held near Mount-Tremblant. However, Tough Mudder is coming in 2013. I think this will suit you M-A-X. Montréal 6 et 7 Juillet. [ toughmudder.com ] |

| Coolness: 102710 | Zombie 5k is not coming to Montreal in 2013.. they not even coming to Canada.
I don't know how well they did in Toronto a few weeks ago. My friend who went as a runner (dressed up as a schoolgirl too) said that the people acting as zombies were really savage at the end. They tackle you for your flags (representing your brain, lives). It was quite out of character. I believe this behaviour is due to lack of volunteers at the event, thus no referees at the end. |
