Things are getting out of hand The PQ is gaining more power which is the worst part, since they support garbage like bill 101, they will ruin the province if they get in power The kids rioting seem like they read a che guevera book and think it's revolution time the worst part is these kids will eventually enter the work force, possibly at starbucks or mcdonalds Student loans are not a problem if you get a proper job, but I suppose these kids don't want to ever work anyway I paid mine off in no time, I could have easily afforded it if it was 2-3 times the price and just worked harder to pay it off Of course, if the government cut down on giving away money (welfare) school could be free. I'd be fine with that, fair trade. |

I get the idea that we have low costs to begin with, so no one should be complaining But at the same time shouldn't we be trying to make things cheaper with time, not more expensive You look at the states it just seems to keep going up and up and yet there are less and less jobs |

 Coolness: 103210 | The protests are completely out of hand. Tuition freeze or no tuition yet we are going to cause millions a day in costs and damages. They are spending any extra money the province has. |

 Coolness: 159075 | Well, it's clearly not about tuition fees anymore, it's about showing their dissatisfaction with our current government. A daily million dollar show of discontent in an attempt to... I'm not even sure what. Dethrone Charest ? Unless it's election time, not likely to happen. Educating the masses ? It's been at least 3 months, EVERYONE's heard about it by now.
As much as the reasons for protesting are real and valid, I'm finding this whole "massive protest" formula starting to feel stale, redundant and more of a massive power trip than anything. There's gotta be more than one way to show your discontent and try to topple a government. What else ? Well, if I had all the answers, maybe the conflict would've ended by now. |
