Renting Private Premise In Montréal For Monthly Music/dj Night

 Coolness: 26760 | I'm starting a monthly music/DJ soirée in Montreal with the first event planned for mid-June, around Fri 17 or 18 June (one week before Le Saint-Jean). Each event will be an intimate affair catering to not more than about 125-150 partygoers.
I need a relatively affordable space for one night each month. We're bootstrapping things right now and that means it could turn out to be a bring your own alcohol event, at least for the first couple months. Also, we plan to rent our own sound system so it's not necessary that the private premise have it's own system. I've already tried contacting people that run places like Silver Door (Parc/Beaubien) but that place no longer hosts events. (It would, however, have been an ideal setting for us.) Does anyone have ideas of where in Montréal I can host this? Names and contact info. would be especially helpful (feel free to private message me). And this is urgent as I'm trying to settle logistic details such as this before I leave on a trip next week. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

 Coolness: 48675 | Try Myplace, it's at the corner of Saint-Laurent and Prince-Arthur, I think it's only 500$ and they have a sound system on place.

MyPlace is more expensive than 500$, it's around 1250$ there's also "le 4ème" in the old port, but it's closing at 3am all of the above are BYOB |
