Just Got Serato And I Got Lot'S Of Questions...

 Coolness: 83990 | I just picked up serato this week hoping it would eliminate some hang ups I had going with my home set up...
For the most part it's pretty sweet, but fucking hell... the library management is making me fucking crazy. I had really simple playlist set up in itunes for burning C.D.'s which worked out really well for years. Basically I have a series of playlists broken down into groups like this group 1 is by store and date purchased. so I always know where my my newest tunes are. group 2 is by key... A playlist for each key to help me work out sets group 3 is by Set... These playlists are ready to burn for gigs. Straight forward and simple, but everything is spread out over different hard drives. I figured out how to get serato to see my itunes playlists, but when i want to play them i keep getting the msg "file not found" for about 75% of my files... so I started going through everything manually and locating files to put in serato crates... which was great until i closed the software and reopened it to discover that out of everything i took the time to locate, serato only seemed to remember the path to about 25% of the files. So basically I'm loosing it with serato's file management and I have too much stuff to store on my startup disk... how the fuck do I make serato find and remember shit??? It's like a retarded baby... |

 Coolness: 103370 | Well when you close it down doesn't the software ask if you want to back up your playlists?
I remember being able to track down the folder where the crates are stored and being able to mess with the playlist file too! I've never experienced this problem, except for when I start moving fils around on my computer and forget I have crates set up |
