ya Beastie Boys are dope. always loved them back in the day - License to Ill, Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication are all classic albums.
but not only that, MCA is into Tibetan Buddhism, and the Beasties have raised funds for Tibetan relief foundations. anybody who's supporting that is good people in my books.
back when Ill Communication came out I was really interested in Tibetan Buddhism, so I dug the message in a couple of the tracks. it's pretty rare to see a major hip-hop act with such conscious lyrics.
