| there are two different kinds of fired in my mind..
the first when you know you are going to be fired and it's like this impeding sense of dread, but you have time to get used to it and assess your options...
the other is when either you get ambushed (you have been fucking up so bad but don't know it) or you fuck up so bad like staying out drinking and partying all night and come in reeking of boos (alternatively you can rail out crazy yelling on a client) and get terminated on the spot no paper work no sitting at a desk just get the fuck out...the emotion that goes with this is more like rage and then shame and disgust.
you know, the number one thing about working that I realized is that it's all about your relationship with your boss, if it's shitty and he/she doesn't like you they'll still try to get rid of you even if you are good at your job or they will just make you life a living hell...on the other hand if you suck at your job and your boss likes you he'll keep you around a longer just cause it's easier for him.
also you have to help your co workers, even if it takes up your time and it's not really your problem you can't get a rep of being the 'lazy' worker and a little help to a co worker when they need it goes a long way to maintaining amicable and civil environments... |
