 Coolness: 685580 | yeah it sounds good, but the only low-end is coming from the kicks, the parts that sound like they're supposed to be a bassline have low-mids, but not really any sub bass.. the soundscape is really good though! |

But as others said the bass needs some work. I feel that if you were to move the bass down an octave you'd free up a lot of room in that low mid area and the entire track would breathe a lot better. Another option would be to grab a kick with a much longer decay as to fill out the whole sub bass region. but overall nice track |

Not enough sub-bass... I wish my upstairs neibourgh would agree ;-) (I hope You guys are listening to the track at at least 80db spl. The only way to get a flat readout on the bass frequencies is to play at at least 80db spl.) I'm kinda glad to hear that, seing as bass is easier to add than to roll off and I have been dealing with the opposite problem: too much sub. According to my spectral analyser there seems to be a lot going on all the way down to 40hrz where it kinda rolls off a bit. I do that cus i find that too much sub/infra bass kinda clutters up the mix. Could be this track isnt compresed and limited as agressively as it could be. To Bad_Chemistry, I already have the lower octave going but maybe not loud enough, so it's over-powered by the low-mid growly part. Anyways, Il try to touch up the bass tonight see what happens. thanks again guys :-) Mise À Jour » databoy a écrit sur Tue 1 Feb, 2011 @ 11:07pm So, I'v updated my track by adding some bass and by hitting the limiter a little harder. I think it works ok.
