my computer is no more compatible with my soundcard, so im selling it to buy a new one. [ www.zzounds.com ] its a nice soundcard if you dont have firewire ports, does the trick for recording sets :P im asking 80$ the cost new is 129.00$ who wants??!! |

 Coolness: 91465 | I use to sell tons of these Tascam interfaces back then at Steve's. The only ones that were running flawless were those installed and set up by good PC peeps'n'geeks that had time and/or alternative part for their PC and/or lots of patience. Otherwise when I would get called to go sevice 'em (or the D.A.W with a Tascam us-122, not the "l" version, never serviced them) I could get around most of the probs but never entirely. I know it's possible to get'em running perfectly. Oh well, I guess the drivers/firmware/hardware orchestration is to blame and I know there not the sharpest crew in terms of drivers dev/updates. |

I actually really like the card, really fucking low latency on it, and it just fits so perfectly into my setup it's like it was made for my desk.. Sounds good, too, but I've also got the KRK Rokit 6 monitors  |

looks fucking sick though.. but, and here's the stupid part, I'm totally not a fan of breakout-cables lol.. It's stupid and makes absolutely no sense, but I like having all my inputs and outputs on/in the box/hardware and not just dangling.. I'd imagine unless you use a mixer or some sort of routing solution that it's the part that's going to fail the most if you plug/un-plug things from it a lot.. |

Even if the break out approach is not very appealing, I'd rock that thing a 100000 times over a stupid ass M-Audio or Presonus or Focusrite, Boooringher lil shit box that breaks all the time even if most of them have their connections on the chasis. Hell, I'd prefer to have a faulty breakout cable than a faulty connection on the chassis. Way less time consuming to change a break out cable than sending the unit to a service center. And yes it is quite common that chassis connections fails. |
