 Coolness: 685610 | ...now if they'd release a version of Serato capable of using 4 decks in some way, I'd fucking love it! Even if you're just using two decks and switching to internal mode or something.. The mixer is sick and has some great possibilities.. especially using USB as sends.. Do a mix with turntables or CDJs but use tempo-based VSTs through Ableton.. |

the possibilities are pretty much endless, and 4 deck mixing is possible because of the two serato inputs :P you can set up two laptops and go at it! really fucking awesome |

| Coolness: 685610 | Even just one laptop, if they set up an update for it that lets you have 4 decks;
Set it up so that deck A+C are controlled by the left turntable and B+D are controlled by the right deck, and make it work in relative mode.. load a track on deck A and play it, load a track on deck B and play it, load a track on deck C and lift the needle off of the left TT and it'll switch deck A from Relative to Internal mode, so track A keeps playing, and now the left deck controlls deck C in Relative mode.. Same with the right deck; pull up the needle and it controls channel D in Relative and switches channel B to Internal.. |

| Coolness: 685610 | Virtual yeah, and you can probably do what I'm thinking with two records controlling 4 decks, but you'd need a midi controller instead of a regular mixer to control Traktor's internal mixer.. |

you can use 4 real decks on a regular mixer tho well yes and no; most 4+ channel mixers have only 3 phonos with the 4th and above being dual-line or line/mic. What I'm talking about is having Traktor (or potentially Serato if they release an update to go with this mixer) use anywhere from 2 to 4 turntables and have each one output to it's own channel. Currently yes Traktor can "use" 4 decks, but you're going to be using the internal mode/mixer with a midi controller, and not using actual turntables + a mixer |
