| Coolness: 72855 | your provider caps torrents or throttle them ? With wich provider are you with? I had some trouble with Bell, they kept caping torrents at 30k from 4 pm till 2am each day. I managed to fix the thing. heheh fuck 'em. =) |

 Coolness: 102740 | yeah with Bell they limit you to 30k each for up/dl during primetime, I guess evenings after work/school till midnight. After midnight, it's decent, depending of couse, on the nature of the torrent, and how many peers. I.E. Indiana Jones 500 kb/s.
Also when AFK, and the screen saver comes on, my torrent and msn disconnect.  |

 Coolness: 131570 | isp throttles , its all about deep packet , and some pple innanibility to open ports.
anyhow , chances are , if your under bell / videotron , its preferable to use the onion router / tor network, and use that small hole out. but even there , deep packet will eventually get to you. some ppl leave windows open to certain sites to use the port 80 as if you where on a real page. months ago i have forked my isp emails , and unwillingness to comply to crtc's zone, about having their members line speed completely operationnal if your in metropolitain area . most of the time , the isp isnt even giving you your speed , since they are leveling your area's traffic , than assure service of the stipulated contract. the resetting modem/firmware, is a fallacy. (yes memory can saturate, but no more than once a month) throlling happens at hight traffic hours , and now they inforce it during the night (sometimes at 1am sometimes at 3am sometimes at 5or7 am.) since most ppl sleep, at that time, the goal is for them to wake up with a torrent that is hung. also supper time , morning and noon / end of day. will result in speed inconsistency due to their traffic shaping and deep packet inspection (not complicated to know whats happening) Mise À Jour » cutterhead a écrit sur Fri 25 Sep, 2009 @ 1:34pm have a look at TPB and demiod . its been about 3y since the last piracy bust . riaa history calls time for a new crackdown. and by historical figures , its happenning right now. your link almost straight to uunet to the state from there, only one hop. and same goes with all big universities that where scheduled / connected to the internet2/darkphiber network that is still untalked about since 1999... did you know uquam is supposed to have gigaphiber , immersa rooms/immmersa desk and are equiped for the next network that was deployed almost a decade ago? you cant got wrong from there. thou you will still have to cope with fake peers and trap peers. an mac addy and cpu serial can go a long way. |
