 Coolness: 30995 | The Canadian premiere of a real-time network collaboration between the W2 Centre in Vancouver and the SAT in Montreal
Video artists in Montreal and Vancouver will build a visual scenography with images and video clips of their surrounding locations. The compositions will include 3D models of the landscape around each institution, as well as material collected from the area during past events. The goal is to give a glimpse of each location, including the physical surroundings, the people, and the architectural aesthetic of each respective environment. During the performance, these visual landscapes will evolve from their literal representations to more dynamic and artistic interpretations. The VJs will incorporate Raw Materials contributed by the public audience, showing how each space is influenced and transformed by the presence of public interaction.
