The only way a players only meeting works is if everyone gets the message that everyone is going to start only doing their job again and stop covering for those cheating. Its very unlikely that happens. Players are cheating for a reason; the coaches have to figure out why, and help those players stop cheating. If its because the player is lazy, you bench him. If its because he has trouble adapting to the system perhaps because of his personal style or health level, you work with him to help him adapt to it by teaching him tricks and tips. Or you tweak the system |

Koivu has been a great captain and has lead the habs to many victories and has been through alot....As a matter of fact i put my money on him as well leaving the habs as well....media wouldn't leave him alone about speaking french he is a hockey player not a french Canandien get over it already....Anyway my 2 cents....I have been watching the habs play since i was 6 years old and never saw them play this badly! Been through alot as a leader Cancer and being shunned by the media cause he doesn't speak french he took it in stride and kept being a good captain well spoken .... I am not in the locker room so i can't tell u but i think that now in that dressing room the players aren't even looking in Kovalev's corner he isn't doing his job properly....How can u be a leader and not do what u r told? hence Kovalev being benched cause he didn't follow what Carbo said.... i don't think either Kovalev, nor Koivu, nor Komisarek deserve to wear the C.. i think they should remove all letters from the team until someone steps up !! they are ALL playing like shit.. remember last season when Koivu didn't follow the rules and got like 10 penalty minutes per game ??? i certainly do and was saying "why the hell is this guy team capitan". btw, a leader isn't supose to "do what you are told" .. a leader tell's people what to do !! :) |
